Serenity (Lucy in Warwick NY)
Our newly rescued (at the time) Palomino mare, Lucy, with a partial backdrop of the local farm where she's rough boarded. This was the first day of the rest of her life... we have no idea where she came from prior to us rescuing her, sight unseen, over the phone last year. We knew she was headed to slaughter - and acted. It's proved to be the best irrational move we'd ever made.
