First Light
In truth, a morning person I am not. Yet our condo faces east. Our bedroom blinds are a white cloth and every spring after the long darkness of winter, the gods present to Central Alberta an amazing splendour of colours for several weeks. This is the only time of year in which I rise before the sun has broken the horizon. On our 4th floor balcony I await camera on tripod for the "First Light" of each new day. For an hour before work I set up shop capturing this moment in time with a cup of coffee in my left hand and my camera remote in the right.
