Cathedral of God
Yosemite National Park is one of the most magical places on Earth that I have ever encountered. It is no wonder that the likes of Ansel Adams, one of photographic greatnesses who ever lived, would fall in love in such a place. Every direction you point your camera to would result in a perfect postcard-like image to capture. If Yosemite were a model, she would have been one photogenic muse. One Autumn day in 2014, I was fortunate enough to have been present at the Park to obtain this capture. I decided to place my Fuji camera on top of a tripod, and used the easy access X-camera exposure compensation button to capture three different images consecutively at different exposures. I also used the Q-menu button to get to the menu and adjusted the timer to 2 seconds which helped me in eliminating the possible shaking of the camera. I then used Photoshop to combine the three different exposed images for an HDR image that became the final picture depicted here. This image alone was worth the 8 hours of driving to and back from Yosemite.
