While I was traveling over the American North West at 40,000 feet on a flight from Las Vegas to Vancouver, I was awestruck by the marvel that lay before my eyes. As the unimpeded sun beat down, not a cloud was to be found in the sky. The landscape below me, chiseled from centuries before my time, flowed with an eerily connected rhythm. It is when you are this removed and detached from daily life, that you can reflect at the wonder surrounds us on this rock we call Earth, as we hurtle 10's of thousands of miles per hour around the sun. Only a vertical composition would do justice. I never leave my camera at home.
